This text
book has been compiled to complement the television lessons; you'll
get more out of these lessons if you study the text book both
before and after each program. The text book contains:
1) A synopsis
and complete transcription of the video drama
(Episode 14-26, once every two lessons). Reading through the synopsis
may be useful if you want to be sure about the general outline
of the episode; the transcriptions can also be used as reference
material if you wish to see in what contexts a certain expression
appeared, or want to analyse the use of new expressions in greater
detail than is allowed for in the twenty-five minute television
program format.
2) Self-contained
lessons reinforcing the television lessons.
3) An appendix
at the back of the text with summaries of the forms of verbs and
adjectives presented in the course.
4) Finally,
an alphabetical index containing all the vocabulary items found
in the "Words and Phrases to Remember" sections of the
textbook lessons.
